Job Description:

 

This position involves the planning, specification, engineering, design and documentation of products related to our light and color measurement systems.  The successful candidate will be expected to contribute our design efforts from initial concept through prototyping and product testing and into production support.  This is a position which requires both strong technical skills as well as excellent communication skills.

 

Primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

 Design and development of parts and systems related to new and existing products Creating and organizing design documentation, including specifications, schematics, test procedures, and BOMs Working with outside vendors to coordinate fabrication and communicate design intent Helping to build and troubleshoot prototypes Working with our production team to implement new development into production processes

Attributes Required:

 Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering2-5 years mechanical engineering experienceFamiliarity with 3D CAD modeling software, SolidWorks experience preferred Familiarity with ANSI Y14.5, GD&T principles Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Ability to multitask and prioritize work Strong mathematical, problem solving, troubleshooting and organizational skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience in optical design is a plusExperience in light measurement devices is a plus Experience with ISO and CE compliance requirements a plus
