We have an immediate opening for a METROLOGY TECHNICIAN located in a suburb of our Cleveland, Ohio location (relocation assistance provided).  This position works within our state-of-the-art certified Keithley Standards Laboratory.  This position is responsibile to calibrate and maintain all primary and secondary laboratory standards by completing both scheduled and non-scheduled repair, calibration and maintenance of all company owned test and measurement equipment.

 

 

JOB DUTIES:Performs manual and computer system based verification procedures to assure instrument specification accuracy and compliance to ANSI-Z540-1-1994 and ISO/IEC17025:2005.Performs maintenance of all laboratory standards and test equipment.Completes all measurements and data analysis to provide any special instrument reports requiring traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology or requiring certification to ANSI-Z540-1-1994 and ISO/IEC17025:2005.Disassembles electronic instrumentation and completes required minor repairs, or maintenance using basic hand tools and existing manuals and documentation.Utilizes test equipment, documentation and historical data, analyze circuitry and components to determine cause of malfunction for minor repairs.Records test data for all calibrated and repaired equipment as required.Analyzes historical test data to established possible performance trends.Reports defects observed during completion of calibration or maintenance procedures.Develops manual test procedures and assists in the development of automated test procedures.  Participates as an active member of the Standards Laboratory/Audit team through contributions for continuous improvement, problem identification and resolution, and open communication. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

1.  Associate’s degree (A.S.) in electronics or equivalent, completion of a formal measurement course or equivalent.  RF experience desirable.

2.  Five or more years related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience, or ASQ’s Certified Calibration Technician certificate, preferred.
