The Microsoft SharePoint Developer is responsible for the development and administration of Microsoft SharePoint environment. This includes the operational issues behind managing these services-monitoring, problem resolution, configuration, product upgrades, and user management as well as user documentation (as needed). Responsibilities require extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience in administering and managing complex enterprise software solutions (commercial off the shelf packages or purchased components), which are integrated with other systems and in-house developed code.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

SharePoint Developer 2007 Experience with MOSS (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server) Enterprise EditionResponsible for assisting in the planning, design, configuration, testing and implementation of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 solutions.Develop custom web parts and web controls for SharePoint 2007 using Microsoft Visual Studio 2003/2005/2008 for ASP.NET/C# development in both the 1.1 and 2.0 and 3.x Frameworks.Develop custom workflows utilizing Workflow Foundation (WF) and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).InfoPath forms development, InfoPath forms Services, Excel Services ConfigurationDevelop queries and stored procedures utilizing SQL Server 2000/2005.Collaborate with business analyst in analyzing operational procedures, identifying problems and recommending technical solution(s).Develop and maintain sound change and release management practices for all enterprise applicationsReceive moderate instructions on routine work; general instructions on new assignmentsWork with business analysts and desktop developers to architect business requirements documents and technical analysis based on business requirements. Approve technical analysis to insure it meets specifications defined in the business requirements document.Create and maintain any system, application, or user documentationResponsibility for the administration of third party add-ons to enterprise applicationsPrepare several types of documentation including Release Notes, Detailed Design Specifications, Requirements Documents, and Use Cases

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

· BS degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent experience

·  Five years experience with Web application development

· Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer (MCSD) preferred

· Technical thought-leader: invents new technologies, applications of technology, or ways to synthesize technologies and domain understanding to forge new market opportunities.

· Solid understanding of the Microsoft IW principles including Office System, Smart Tags, Information Bridge, InfoPath, SharePoint Portal Server, BizTalk, and web services

· Broad awareness of basic Internet, intranet, and WWW technologies, including: Inter/intra/extranet tools; Web installation, configuration and performance management; Web security and encryption

· Experience with .NET servers and tools 

· Web site design and development experience in a Microsoft environment

· Working knowledge and skills in ASP.Net, C#.Net, VBScript, and XML

· Working knowledge of SQL Server 2000, 2005
