Microwave Antenna Design Engineer

 

PURPOSE

 

To design and develop microwave antennas, cavity and waveguide filters, diplexers, antenna feed and other related microwave passive components.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

· To carry out from concept the analysis, design, simulation, development, integration, and testing of advanced Microwave Antennas, feed network, cavity, and waveguide filters, diplexers, and other relation passive waveguide components through W band for Microwave radio and other wireless applications.

· To carry out effective transfer of designs to manufacturing and ensure products meet design electrical specifications, quality requirements, and environmental specifications.

· To work with CAD designer and mechanical designer and machine shop throughout development and production phase.

· To develop test procedures and production documentation.

· To train technicians in testing and tuning of the microwave components such as filters and diplexers.

 REQUIREMENTS and/or REQUIRED SKILLS

 

· 5 to 10 years HANDS ON experience in designing and testing Microwave Antennas and related products.

· Minimum BSEE, preferred MSEE with specialization in Microwave Circuits.

· Thorough understanding of electromagnetic theory and working knowledge of antenna, cavity, waveguide filters, and diplexer design.

· Proficient with numerical techniques. MOM, FEM, FTTD, etc., and experience in using full wave electromagnetic simulation software such as HFSS, IE3D, etc, is highly essential.

· Good communication skills and ability to work in an interactive group environment are essential.

· Should have HANDS ON experience in making S-Parameter measurements, antenna pattern and gain measurements.
