Job Responsibilities:
Schneider Electric is a global leader in Automation and Control and has an opening for a Motion Business Development Manager covering the Northcentral region of the U.S. The successful candidate will be responsible for the promotion and sales growth of Schneider Electric's motion control solution offering.
Primary responsibilities include selling and supporting the motion control solution offering into OEM and end-user customers. Teaming with management and sales to define target customers in focused market segments. Working with product marketing to help create and carry out marketing programs. Preparing and conducting sales training, presentations, and business plans. The candidate must be knowledgeable in Automation and Motion Control technologies and have strong verbal and written communication skills. He or she will be working closely with partners, sales, marketing, and engineering, and must have effective organizational and interpersonal skills. This position requires some travel.
Specific Responsibilities
The key objectives and challenges of this position will include, but are not limited to:
• Selling motion solutions into target accounts and business segments to achieve motion control sales goals.
• Work closely with OEM, End-User, and channel sales at target accounts.
• Work with product marketing to support product launches, programs, and give input on product needs.
• Assisting to train the Schneider Electric and partner sales force.
Qualifications
• The successful candidate will have 5-10 years experience selling motion control and automation products and solutions into the OEM market.
• This individual will possess a powerful blend of business and technical savvy.
• Have an understanding of OEM solution needs
• Thorough working knowledge of motion control and automation with proven track record using these skills to achieve sales growth.
• 4-year technical undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a high-tech environment.
