NPI Program Manager

 Our campus is located in a forest setting in the sierra foothill town of Nevada City. There are unlimited recreational possibilities and a vibrant theatre, art and music scene. We have a hiking trail around our campus and a number of restaurants and unique shops available during lunch or after work. Locals also enjoy Nevada County’s mountain biking, camping, fishing, boating, and winter sports activities – contributing factors to a higher quality of life.  Our campus is approximately 60 miles from Sacramento on Hwy 80 and stands at the gateway to Tahoe National Forest on State Route 49. It just might be the best of all possible worlds. Currently we are looking for an NPI Program Manager: The Manufacturing NPI Project manager participates cross-functionally on development teams with Engineering and Marketing.  The MPM coordinates and facilitates the cross functional activities within Operations and Materials  to ensure cost effective and timely production of new products.  Travel between sites will be required.  Further, this person will be involved with transition mgt of moving products between sites and may be called upon to lead Lean activities as well.• Ensure adherence to ETM guidelines.• Initiate and drive the creation of functional level processes in support of ETM• Oversee Operations Process development with the goal of achieving stated objectives in cost, cycle times and Product Lead Time• Engagement of supply chain to incorporate DFx guidelines• Manage documentation process to comply with ISO9000/2000•Assure Operations fulfillment of project deliverables (prototypes, test, manufacturing plans, capacity analysis, etc).•Measure the efficient transition of new products into Operations via TTQV (Time to Cost/Volume)Program Management• Assure adequate completion of project milestones before authorizing transition to subsequent phases.• Provide accurate Operations financial input at all milestones.  • Drive product structuring for optimum manufacturability (streamlined master schedule process, reduced cycle times) while meeting Marketing needs Requirements: BA/BS plus 8-10 years experience, MBA preferredLean experience requiredSigma experience preferredSAP experience  Detailed understanding of NPI processes, operations, purchasing, direct order fulfillment, and contract manufacturing.Program management experience requiredEffective in a cross cultural environment Grass Valley is an equal opportunity employer, makes employment decisions on the basis of merit, and is in compliance with all applicable laws providing equal employment opportunities.
