Responsibility for all aspects of Anaren's global network and server infrastructure and operations thereof as well as management and development of the Infrastructure services team. This is a hands-on management position requiring strong infrastructure management and technical skills to ensure the overall planning, execution, and success of projects related to building highly-scalable, fault- tolerant, redundant distributed systems infrastructure. Interact with all levels within the organization providing, a highly customer focused approach, strong sense of urgency, responsibility for development of solid vendor partnerships, implementation of best practices and meeting of department goals.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall planning, execution and success of all infrastructure projects.
Manage, motivate, develop and mentor the infrastructure services team across multiple sites to effectively support the business by means of continuously assessing and instituting a training plan to improve skills required to fulfill user requests on a timely basis and delivering excellent customer service.
Plans, organizes and directs help desk services to provide high quality customer service.
Manage all aspects of the IT infrastructure which includes systems security, networks (LAN and WAN) for voice and data, servers, all hardware and related operating systems and software within the guidelines of strategic goals and objectives.
Plan and deliver cost-effective and scalable infrastructure solutions in support of business objectives and corporate strategic direction.
Establish technology infrastructure standards in accordance with industry best practices.
Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place for all key infrastructure components.
Maintain and periodically test to ensure solutions are effective. Ensure Operational support of all IT infrastructure and systems on a 24 x 7 basis.
Proactively monitor and manage all aspects of infrastructure to ensure reliability and high availability with minimal downtime.
Oversee inventory and management of all hardware as well as up keep of software licenses.
Establish performance standards or metrics for all key infrastructure aspects (such as network performance, help desk service, disk utilization, etc).
Manage the day to day operational relationship with key strategic vendors and service providers.
Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of complex problems and taking appropriate action as necessary.
Collaborate with engineering and other departments to ensure their IT test environments used for engineering research and development are aligned with corporate IT department standards and security policies and at the same time conducive to promoting exploration of new engineering technologies.
Ensure department complies with and supports all department and corporate policies and procedures, included but not limited to safety, security, ESD and OSHA guidelines. Required Skills


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. MCSE & CCNA required, CCNP preferred.
Excellent organizational, project management, interpersonal, time management, written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems, creating solutions that are practical, cost effective, and reliable and meets the needs of the business.
Ability to communicate and interface with all levels within the organization to resolve problems.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and supervise multiple disciplines.
Demonstrate ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, high stress level work environment.
Ability to prioritize work and multi-task.
Ability to implement process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Must have ability to work with confidential matters. Required Experience


5+ years of senior-level experience in the design, implementation and support of a large scale complex global enterprise network in a fast-paced environment.
10+ years of solid technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco technologies is essential with CCNP-level technical proficiency. Must have a solid working knowledge of RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VPN, IPSEC, Multicast, MPLS, and QOS, Wireless LAN.
Solid technical knowledge and hands on experience with the following:

Cisco routers & switchers.
Windows XP/Vista, MS Office suite of applications and SQL Server.
Routing protocols, firewalls and monitoring tools.
Administration of Lotus Notes and iSeries servers.
Cisco Call Manager, Publisher, Subscriber & Meeting Place.
Veritas or other backup solutions and methodology
Citrix, CheckPoint, Solar Winds.
Blackberry server and devices.
