Job Summary:
WaferTech, a TSMC Company and the United States largest Foundry of Integrated Circuits is searching for a forward looking, goal oriented and results driven individuals for the role of Equipment Engineer. As an Equipment Engineer you are responsible for the uptime and performance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including KE Furnaces, DNS Wet Benches, and Disco Back Grinders in the diffusion equipment section. WaferTech is a fast-paced semiconductor-manufacturing environment offering a variety of challenges. This is an exempt position and additional work hours may be requested at times and requires carrying a pager and responding swiftly. Responsibilities: Utilize SPC and real time monitoring methods to monitor the performance of equipment Plan and perform preventative maintenance of equipment with technician team Develop and implement improvement programs for tool reliability and availability Responsible for continuous yield and quality improvements, as well as cost and scrap reduction Support and maintain spare parts inventory Highly self motivated to initiate actions and solutions to prevent occurrence of any equipment abnormal events Interact with vendors and facility personnel to perform upgrade and/or retrofits
Requirements: Understanding of Statistical Process Control & Design of Experiments Good computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, PowerPoint, Outlook Basic electronic & mechanical troubleshooting skills required. Extensive experience preferred Fast learner, a team player with leadership ability. Demonstrate tenacity and flexibility Excellent oral & written communication skills Strong attention to detail Excellent Critical thinking and planning skills; multi-tasking; ability to create and execute action plans. Able to work on compressed shifts in an initial training period (3-6 months)
Years of Related Experience/Educational Preferences: Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics major required New college graduates are encouraged to apply Experience in KE Furnaces and/or DNS Wet Benches areas are strongly preferred Ability to work in the US long term without sponsorship is required.
