Description: Operations at Schneider Electric encompasses wide variety of positions, all of which are critical to the success of the company. As a manufacturing based company it serves to reason that a main focus of growth and development for the company is within the Operations function. We have many exciting opportunities for recent graduates to develop their skills and gain a fuller understanding of how to operate successfully in our industry. All provide excellent hands-on insight as to what manufacturing truly embodies in the 21st century. Potential available positions include the following:Operations Advanced Development Program: This program is geared towards students that are looking for an advanced career in manufacturing. In this program you will have the opportunity to move through four operations rotations over the first two years of your career with Schneider Electric. The goal of the program is to give recent college graduates the opportunity to develop the necessary skills, knowledge, abilities, and relationships necessary for a career at Schneider Electric. Manufacturing Engineer: Develops, establishes, maintains, and assures the effective utilization of production facilities, manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems. Estimates manufacturing costs, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Mechanical Engineer: Ability to perform a variety of engineering work in planning and design of products, tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment and mechanical industrial processes, and oversees production, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment. Recommends and implements improvements/modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters. Manufacturing Supervisor: Accountable for leading the activities of manufacturing groups engaged in assembly, fabrication, testing, and packaging of electrical devices. Ensures production is maintained in accordance with time schedules, engineering specifications, quality standards, expense budgets, employee safety, and cost goals. Coordinates introduction into manufacturing of all major projects such as new products, major methods changes, automation, etc. Quality Engineer: Applies broad knowledge of total quality concepts to define and implement activities in assigned areas such as designing and installing quality control process sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques. Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. Analyzes production limitations and standards. Recommends revision of specifications when indicated. Assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures. Application Engineer: Responsibilities for this position include engineering, programming, and commissioning of systems typically used in the monitoring and control of electrical power distribution. Specific tasks may include consulting with customers to determine system operation requirements, designing electrical control panels, specifying, and purchasing of hardware/software as required by project.
