The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas:Design of optical functionality building blocks for DWDM fiber optic systemsArrayed Waveguide Grating mux/demuxOptical Switch functionalitiesThermo-opticsElectro-opticsOptical Add and Drop functionalitiesScope: Once integrated into our design team he/she will participate with the definition of specifications and help to define development efforts for new products. Evaluate risks associated with development. Conduct customer specification analysis and highlight the most competitive solutions in terms of performances and cost. A key aspect will be capability to design for high volume manufacturing.Successful candidate participate with integration projects involving different technology platforms and functionalities; will contribute to the identification of low cost / high volume manufacturing solutions for the next generation of integrated platforms (technology/module/sub-assembly).Candidate must have a good vision of new fiber optic network topology to complement the required skills.Candidate must have demonstrated team and communication skills.
