Do you want to save the world?  You can be a hero by joining one of the world’s leading solar photovoltaic (PV) companies!  At SolarWorld, you will have the opportunity to help develop one of the world’s cleanest and most environmentally-responsible forms of sustainable energy production.   We are looking for everyday heroes who are highly-motivated to grow North America’s largest Solar PV production capability under one company!  If you are a proactive, entrepreneurial and enthusiastic about sustainable energy, we invite you to “Come Shine with Us!”  In this critical role you will manage procurement for all corporate goods and services, including all related supply chain/vendor management, full-cycle RFP, vendor sourcing, cost reduction efforts with established suppliers, etc for SolarWorld Industries America’s three US locations.  As a member of a rapidly growing team in a start-up environment you will also work with your peers to develop our procurement function’s core processes, practices, applications, and methodologies to enable our very rapid growth, and will participate in a variety of core projects aimed at cost reduction and the procurement team’s overall effectiveness. Primary responsibilities for this position include:· Partner with internal customers to identify and clarify requirements for the broad range of services and products required by our corporate business units including IT, HR, Facilities, etc., but excluding all production-related procurement.· Identify prospective suppliers, and manage supplier acquisition based on customer specifications.· Manage process as appropriate based on scale of business leading to vendor identification, acquisition, contracting etc.· Manage vendors over the course of the vendor relationship utilizing a vendor management methodology consistent with the vendor/products/volume of business, toward the goals of reducing costs, improving quality, and ensuring viable, productive and predictable vendor partnerships. The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:  Not less than 5 years of progressively more senior, full-cycle procurement experience within a corporate procurement organization, all of which demanded formal and flexible methodologies/processes/practices to manage all phases of procurement. Desire to join a highly entrepreneurial, fast moving, rapidly changing, cohesive team of peers working within a start-up environment who are simultaneously responding to customers, building core processes/practices, managing established vendors and building an excellent core procurement function. Direct experience managing key vendor relationships with an emphasis on a formalized vendor management system that enables productive vendor relations, predictable outcomes, and measurable opportunities to manage costs.
