PDK Kit Developmetn Engineer

Job Description:

Develop internally or integrate an enhanced foundry provided design kit(s) to support front to back analog, custom digital, mixed-signal and RF IC design. Integrate tools and capabilities into the custom flow to improve the custom design process. Develop and support the layout generation of component pCells and fixed cells and the interface for layout extraction and verification. Plan, maintain, test and support development, release and customer use of the custom design system.

Skills/Experience:

· Develop design kits and libraries for external foundry technologies. This development will either be done internally or by using foundry provided process design kits as a starting point.

· Develop libraries for generic components and technology specific parameterized substructures.

· Integrate front-end and back-end components of the kit library (symbol, simulation, layout, layout verification, layout parasitic extraction and Back Annotation).

· Develop layout generation pCells and Fixed Cells for components in the design kits and libraries and for parameterized substructures.

· Work with design teams, design automation and tool vendors to optimize the kit development for quality and design cycle time reduction.

· Develop and maintain automated test procedures; robust release mechanism for distribution 

· BSEE and 3 years experience; MSEE preferred.
