PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (DESIGN, TESTING, DOCUMENTATION)

Bivar, Inc. an employee-owned company is strategically located in the Irvine Spectrum, approximately 50 miles south of Los Angeles and maintains logistical operations in Europe and Asia, as well as manufacturing in California, China and Taiwan. 

 

We are currently seeking a Product Development Engineer, with a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.  A host of new designs and the dynamic expansion of our solution engineering capabilities positions Bivar to provide even greater customer value in the years to come. POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 Perform technical research, product development and prototyping development for the Engineered Illumination program.Perform Product Development for New Business Opportunities and Standard products, Research and Design, development of Optoelectronics, including Product Design, Testing, and Documentation. Assist in LED Product Cross Reference and Validation including Testing and Inspection.Responsible for generation of Engineering Test Report, Specifications and Documentation as needed.Membership in Engineering and Manufacturing team meetings.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 Engineering Degree in Electronics or Electrical major.2-5 years experience in Electronics industryExperience/or knowledge Circuitry Design and PCB layout.Experience/or knowledge in the Volume/Low Cost Manufacturing.Experience/or knowledge in Engineering Documentation generation and control.Experience in product design with OrCAD, AutoCAD and/or other 2D/3D CAD software.

 Strong reading, writing and verbal communication skills. Strong Research / Analytical Skills.Strong Organizational Skills and ability to prioritize Projects. Engineering and Detail Oriented.Independent, self-starter.
