PROGRAM MANAGER - INJECTION MOLD TOOLING - CHINA BASED

BILINGUAL PROGRAM MANAGER FOR U.S. COMPANY - Plastic Injection Molding - Job located in China 

Eastek International (www.eastek-intl.com) needs your solid program management skills to coordinate injection molding tool making for export from our factory in China.  We are a contract manufacturer and make consumer and industrial electronics for our customers.  Our headquarters is in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.  Our 300,000 square foot factory campus is in Shenzen City, China, which is southwest of Hong Kong on the Chinese mainland.  The China facility has a plastic injection mold plant, a PCBA plant (printed circuit board assembly), a small-metal stamping plant, and an EMI filter plant.  Our Buffalo Grove location houses our project engineers, design services group, sales, supply chain, quote team, and support staff.

Our China tool making making capabilities and tool-and-die program is very strong.  We have an active apprenticeship program.  U.S. customers who tour our China plant give us superior marks for treatment of employees, and overall business operations.  Turnover is low.  We have an employee retention rate in China of approximately 90%.  Our 1,500 China-based employees live in dormitories on site.  We have a well-run, stable operation.

You would be expected to reside in Guangdong Province, Shenzen City area--not in Hong Kong.  Housing may be provided if needed. 

Duties include:Responsible for coordination of new project launch through to completion for injection molding tool making for export from China.  Responsible for continuous improvement efforts of export tool making.  Responsible for effective communication between China Engineering, China Manufacturing, US Sales Administration, Joint Venture Partner, Customers where communication is verbal and written in both English and Putonghua.

 Expected Performance Results include:  On time completion of tooling orders.On budget completion of tooling orders.Quality conformance of tooling orders.Documentation of procedures, compliance to procedures and on-going improvement of procedures.

Qualifications:US injection mold tool making experience.  The means hands-on personal experience as a tool maker.10 years of work experienceFluent English speaking and writingCantonese or Putonghua speakingMust be eligible for issuance of visa from U.S. to work in People's Republic of China.  Company will assist in visa process.
