This position requires a minimum of 3 years of dedicated customer service experience, to include job order expediting and direct interfacing with both internal and external customers. Candidate must also demonstrate the ability to work without direct supervision. May be called upon to determine methods, procedures and may provide guidance to others. Previous experience in a manufacturing or technical service customer position is highly desirable. This position requires an ability to independently assess each interaction with internal/external customers and to effectively prioritize and follow up on the resolution of the activity.

The ideal candidate must be able to satisfactorily meet each essential requirement that is representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. Generates and reviews daily equipment status reports. Initiates follow-up actions as appropriate. 2. Interfaces directly with Sales, Operations and customers. 3. Serves the function of customer advocate. 4. Formally documents essential details related to customer complaints, in an unbiased manner. 5. Issues credit memos in accordance with good business practices and SIMCO policies and procedures. 6. Performs the role of receptionist, to the extent necessary to insure that walk-in customers and telephone calls are professionally managed. 7. Receives and delivers equipment to/from walk-in customers, in addition to assisting to packaging instruments for shipment, as required to meet customer commitments. 8. Elevates customer concerns to higher levels without hesitation, as appropriate. 9. Actively and visibly supports SIMCO’s Mission in Service Program. ESSENTIAL EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or higher, with a minimum of 3 years experience as a CSR in a manufacturing or technical service. Computer literate with intermediate understanding Microsoft Office products and have strong communication skills (both verbal and written). Has proven demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Must also possess a highly reliable attendance record with proven work ethic.

This is a team atmosphere primarily in a laboratory or manufacturing environment at a SIMCO location and/or customer sites, and the position could require some travel. This is a regular full time position.
