Planning Specialist II

Suntron Corporation, an industry leader in electronic manufacturing services, delivering complete manufacturing services and solutions to support the entire life cycle of complex products in the semi-conductor capital equipment, aerospace and defense, medical and industrial markets is currently seeking a Planner II to review, validate and revise MRP generated requirements and MRO purchase requisitions.

Key duties include: Support Program Manager and Program Team in support of customer satisfaction requirements by on time delivery of Quality products.  Work all material issues as related to customer delivery requirements, as assigned. Evaluate MRP Demand, plan and insure all parts are on order to meet production requirement for assigned customers.  Review and verify all parts are placed on order to support MPS requirements with particular focus on A & B level parts.  Review new demand from MRP output and place orders accordingly.  Maintain team concept to support customer satisfaction and high VOC ratings.  Complete Engineering Change Notices (ECN) in queue.Problem solving, releasing work orders, daily/monthly/quarterly build plans, and Master scheduling.  Evaluate cost, delivery and quality of preferred suppliers to place demand.Input purchase orders in MRP.File purchase orders and log in signed purchase orders.Work with supply base team for consolidation of suppliers.Evaluate and work shortages with the production planning department on parts that do not meet production requirements and expedite to best dates. Work with production planning on ·what Ifs· for commitments to the MPS load.

Requirements: This person will have a Bachelors’ Degree in Business, or related field AND/OR equivalent in-depth experience as a Planner in the electro-mechanical contract manufacturing industry. 5+ years experience in materials planning and purchasing. Knowledge of MRP. APICS certification preferred. The ideal candidate will have: high-level problem solving and deductive reasoning skills; the ability to analyze complex problems and recommend/implement solutions as directed; capacity to prioritize and multi-task; ability to translate business needs into technical specifications; project management proficiency; strong customer service and communication skills; and the capability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
