Silent Knight, a brand marketed by Honeywell Life Safety, manufactures markets and services innovative fire protection solutions for commercial buildings. The Silent Knight facility is located in Maple Grove, MN. We are currently looking for a Plant Manager to join us in our Silent Knight Facility in Maple Grove. Responsibilities include:Overall leadership for the Honeywell Life Safety, Maple Grove Operation including manufacturing; plant facilities materials management; safety, health and environment; distribution; and maintenance for a highly automated electronic assembly Provide vision, direction, and leadership for the formulation and implementation of process improvements and lean initiatives through the use of Six Sigma tools Develop and deliver on the Annual Operating Plan and metrics improvement Define and communicate roles and responsibilities as required to respond to customer needs Make staffing recommendations in order to support profitable growth Responsible for coordinating and initiating development activities in response to emerging business needs Work directly with program managers to ensure that development schedules are appropriate to requirements on timing and budget. Provide for the personal and professional development of the entire manufacturing department
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Operations Management or equivalent combination of experience and education Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive management experience. Broad knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma principles, along with sound manufacturing and operations experience. In-depth understanding and application of Lean Methodologies Manufacturing site leadership experience Strategic Planning (STRAP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Management Resources Review (MRR) Experience in application of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Lean Enterprise methodologies, preferred Ability to lead change and establish operational metrics/key indicators for process control, communication and performance improvement Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and changing priorities, make sound decisions and work effectively in a highly technical, team environment Ability and experience working in the automotive, medical and commercial markets Excellent written and verbal communication skills If you are a dynamic, successful, driven professional, Honeywell is the company that will further your experience and career growth.
