Cooling Platform Engineering Manager Description
Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall management of the Cooling Platform Engineering organization;
Provide leadership to identify and solve problems through systemic utilization of comprehensive root cause analysis techniques. Make enhancements by recommending and implementing hardware, software, mechanical, assembly process or quality control solutions. Recommend and implement new hardware and software design platforms, architecture and utilities to achieve strategic Company goals;
Build and maintain a highly motivated engineering staff focused on technical excellence and project execution in a team-oriented environment; Determine the process for engineering design/development, design verification, software and hardware engineering, systems validation, and general technology development within the division; Identify relevant new technology to facilitate maintenance & enhancement of new and existing designs; Work with Quality, Service and Manufacturing organizations to ensure that Company products are delivered and maintained to the highest standards attainable; Lead and participate in divisional design review meetings for new product development. Position Requirements: Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design or similar discipline desired;
HVAC, refrigeration operational theory and control system knowledge;
HVAC field installation, application and configuration knowledge;
Minimum of 15 years of successful experience as a Design Engineer, preferably electromechanical products;
Proven history of success as an Engineering Manager with a ready list of achievements in leading design engineers to complete new product projects on time and on/under budget.
Track record that shows commitment and contribution to past employers as evidenced by internal promotions and other successes;
Ability to think strategically;
Must possess top-notch organizational skills;
Must be proficient in Microsoft products to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project;
Ability to work with and motivate a diverse group of people in worldwide locations;
High energy level with strong follow-through skills;
Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced ever changing environment;
Able to travel with minimal notice, including international locations.
