Principal Packaging Reliability Engineer;

Responsibilities;

 

Lead product and package qualifications in for new product introduction (NPI) and standard product ROHS conversion efforts.

 

Responsibilities include; coordination and execution of the qualification consisting of defining qualification requirements, selecting test vehicles, maintaining project schedules, writing qualification reports, defining on-going reliability monitor (ORM) requirements, and providing feedback to the development team on product/package risk assessment.

 

Manage supplier quality and reliability through various activities including supplier package roadmap review, on-site supplier technical audits, package qualifications, process Cpk trend chart monitoring, yield enhancement, and reliability monitor programs,

 

Provide technical support to AMCC customers on various product/package related questions or issues.  Conducted customer contract and specification reviews.  Make presentations to customers on AMCC product reliability during customer visits. Provide technical assistance to the quality assurance team in Return Material Analysis (RMA), non-conforming material disposition, and process change notification (PCN).

 

 

Requirements;

 

B.S in a technical field (MS preferred)

Minimum of five years of experience in Quality & Reliability Engineering in fabless semiconductor environment.

 

Hands on experience in product qualification, quality assurance, supplier quality management.

 

Candidate must have In-depth knowledge of various packaging technologies, manufacturing process, package roadmaps, Expertise in SMT assembly process and board level reliability. Proficient in failure analysis, material characterization, DOE, SPC, and reliability assessment.  Excellent communication and organizational skills.
