Process Engineer Sustaining - Solid State Lighting

We currently have an opening for a Process Sustaining Engineer within our Solid State Lighting division.

 

Shift: 1st Shift + One Weekend Day

 

SUMMARY:

Cree is looking for a self-motivated, hands-on process engineer to sustain equipment and processes.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, sustain, and improve processes for Device Fabrication/Packaging Interface with equipment engineering, management and manufacturing to improve cycle time, tool availability, process/product yield, and cost reduction Work directly with Manufacturing Operations and Development Engineering to ramp new products and processes into production, as well as manage project/product priorities

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:B.S. or M.S in Materials Science, Engineering, or Science 2 years experience in high-volume manufacturing processes and equipment Candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Must have a “whatever it takes” attitude to get the job done (this may mean working long hours, nights, etc.) In-depth technical understanding of semiconductor processes and equipment Strong working knowledge of SPC/DOE principles Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to identity manufacturing improvements, manage change, and implement solutions.
