Process Technician

 

Summary

The Process Technician defines technical requirements and methods for efficient production of PCB assemblies and continually monitors the assembly process to correct deficiencies and improve throughput and quality yields. Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesDefine process flow, applicable chemistry, thermal profiles, tooling, panelization, etc required to efficiently produce PCB assembliesDesign, fabricate, and procure required tooling, work aids, process instructions, etc to ensure the best quality and efficiencyInteract with production and programs to improve operating efficiency of all resources, as well at the quality of all PCB assemblies.  Assist in the planning of work assignments, capacity planning, and process improvementLead all new product introduction activities to include the preparation of work instructions and tooling.  Plan and lead activities on the production line to ensure successful and expedient first article verification and production start-upsDevelop, evaluate, and improves manufacturing methods.  Evaluate and perform development activities for new components, materials, and technologiesDevelop, refine, and evaluate quote activities for PCB assemblies.  Review labor quotes to ensure bids are competitive, yet profitableWork with support functions to ensure efficient operation with the PCB business unitAnalyzes and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.  Specify and justify production equipment requirements

 Minimum RequirementsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelors Degree preferred.5 to 7 years experience in Process and/or Manufacturing Engineering
