Process Technology Specialist

 

Candidate should be a seasoned process and technology specialist, who will drive and/or directly contribute in an analyst role in business process workflow and technology analysis, operational analysis, and functional analysis projects using different project-tracking software tools. Qualified individual will be accountable to handle in near entirety both process and technology projects as a lead member of the Consumer Imaging Group (CIG) for other groups, divisions or departments across CIG and should be comfortable working with numerous individuals at different levels of the organization. This position is responsible for providing high-quality process and technology analysis, and recommendations for enhancement or change (providing specialized business or technical knowledge to projects); facilitation and coordination of meetings; and ability to: 1) deal with demanding situations, 2) multi-task, 3) go above and beyond to ensure tasks or activities are completed on schedule; and 4) work individually or as part of a cross-functional multi-Department/Division team environment. Individual will create, analyze, and formally document as-is process and technology workflows and critical path deliverables. Will be responsible to recommend enhancements or changes to streamline or redesign future to-be processes, systems, operations, standard operating procedures (SOP), ownership functions, and necessary Change Management tasks. Partnering with Internet Marketing to focus on new CIG eCommerce strategy, CiG (Canon Image Gateway), CRM on 2008/2009 Roadmap, new internet website as well as new initiatives on our external website.

A minimum of 5 years overall industry experience primarily within the business operations/process environment. 3+ years of which should focus on business and technology projects. Extensive experience in business process, technology, functional, operational, and change management analysis. Solid verifiable experience in a multi-project role is a must. Knowledge of any process improvement methodology: Six Sigma, Business Process Reengineering (BPR), Total Quality Management (TQM), Quality Function Deployment (QFD), workflow analysis, decision support analysis, etc. Knowledge of and ability to understand the capabilities of technology systems are desired. Person should be computer literate (MS package) and possess a general understanding of business processes and technology applications. Individual should possess very strong written and oral communication skills, presentation skills and have the ability to interact with all levels of management and staff. Bachelor's Degree is required, Masters Degree preferred.
