(NYSE: MC), known worldwide by its Panasonic brand name.Summary of Position:Supplier management is a critical success factor in achieving customer satisfaction through on time delivery and quality products. There is a requirement to increase the level of focus to monitor and maintain supplier performance in terms of delivery and quality and that they execute per the agreements made with our Sub-Contract Management group. A senior manager is required to lead this initiative and manage the process on an ongoing basis. Duties:?Execute contract agreements appropriate to the complexity and risk of the supplied product/service with all suppliers. ?Maintain all agreements working with the functional department subject matter expert ?Assist in conducting periodic reviews with supplier appropriate to the complexity and risk of the supplied product/service ?Coordinate critical issues and corrective actions (with Quality) between supplier and sponsoring PAC function ?Ensure configuration control of product being produced by supplier ?Implement and monitor performance measurement and reporting to ensure continued compliance of supplier ?Assist in the process to establish and qualify competitors ?Monitor / sponsor suppliers' continuous improvement activities and participate as a key member of PACS supply chain management team ?Take action to seek remedies under the terms and conditions of contractual agreements ?Proactively work with key suppliers to drive year over year cost reductions ?Responsible for procurement of $50 - $100M in goods and services annually ?Manage 10 - 20 people ranging from Procurement Administrators to Sr. Procurement Agents and Procurement Managers ?Primarily interfaces with the Sr. Director Supply Chain Operations; Director, Procurement; Manager, International Procurement; Manager, Supplier Quality Assurance ?Interfaces with senior leaders involved in product planning and advanced development to assist in the idenfication and selection of 3rd Party and Sub contract Suppliers for critical business developments ?Responsible for identifying and managing key 3rd Party and Sub-contract Suppliers in accordance with commercial terms and conditions and to ensure full compliance with PAC pricing, delivery, and quality requirements Qualifications Required:?BA/BS in business, economics, finance, engineering, law, mathematics or similar ?MBA preferred ?Min 7-10 years of experience in commercial industry, managing suppliers, projects involving suppliers or performing as a supplier ?Must have at least 2-3 years experience managing suppliers including financials ?Excellent communication and presentation ?Demonstrated leadership, people and team building skills strongly preferred ?May be required to travel internationally EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY POLICYIt continues to be the policy of Panasonic of North America to ensure equal employment opportunity for all employees and applicants for employment.
