The Product Category Specialist will act as the Subject Matter Expert for all products within the Communications Product Group in order to articulate product value and competitive advantages to drive product placement within assigned accounts? Prepares, presents and communicates in depth product specifics, value, and competitive product knowledge to the sales team members and channel partners assigned. ? Negotiates desired product placement and promotions with channel partners to maximize product revenues and profits? Recommend and manage promotions within account set in accordance with Product Group guidelines ? Assists in the development of product training strategy with Product & Marketing team.? Communicate with key/buyers/dealers to gain insight into POS environment and opportunity? Ability to develop and present detailed marketing plans for assigned products including promotional budget planning, market share data, analysis, materials and media and public relations. ? Compile, analyze and provide feedback on product performance, market acceptance, new specifications, features, and new technological developments to assist in new product design? Prepare accurate Product Group forecasts for assigned territory. ? Prepare strategies to capitalize on market/account opportunities and address any potential gaps? Work with the sales team to plan for best allocation of available product within a specific territory.MANAGEMENT: Timely and accurate preparation and completion of all business management processes with strong multi tasking abilities.PROBLEM-SOLVING/KNOW HOWBA/BS degree preferred 5+ years of product and/or marketing experience in the consumer electronics industry.
