We are currently looking for Designer with experience in PRO_E to fill a long term contract position with our client in southwestern Michigan. Job Description:Product Designer to develop designs for mechanical or electrical components and subsystems. Assists in establishing basic project design objectives and in the selection of design approaches. Serves as a consultant to outside vendors. Provides planning input for design, engineering and development activities. Prepares requests for project support as needed. Develops and obtains prototype parts for testing and pre production activities. Applies DFM/DFA concepts in developing designs. Participates in design review activities, contributes to FEA. Establishes component tolerances in accordance with manufacturing capabilities. Performs complex tolerance analysis and validation. Critiques designs for safety, manufacturability, failure modes, customer usage and function. Must Understand Pro/Engineer. Must show dimensions from models. Must understand design intent in the models.
