Product Marketing Manager - AC Drives

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this position has total responsibility for the management of the AC Drives product group. Responsibility includes identification, planning, and market introduction of new products, and promotion of existing products, to ensure rapid market share and sales growth. Also responsible for pricing, forecasting, competitive evaluation, product positioning and commercial marketing activities.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement an annual sales and promotion plan for assigned products that produces rapid market share and sales growth. Monitor monthly achievement and take corrective action when necessary to achieve plan. Generate/direct the production of literature and collateral material required to support products.Evaluate competitive product features, pricing, and positioning and develop “how to sell” materials and training for the field sales organization.Travel as primary liaison to sales force, providing value selling support, product training, and support for key OEM customers and distributors.Insure that Field Engineering, Technical Support, and Customer Service have the tools and training required to support customers and growth.Work with Supply Chain to insure that initial stock levels are set appropriately on new products, and to account for known changes in demand on existing products.Set list pricing levels, perform gross margin analysis, and achieve revenues/gross margins to meet the operating plan.Obtain market information on customer needs through market research, customer visits, and technical support group feedback.
Requirements:
Four (4) year Degree in Engineering and at least three (3) years in a sales, technical support, or product marketing role specific to industrial automation products is required. Must have knowledge of industrial automation products and applications, sales or marketing experience with Drives and Motion Control and a proven history of consistent market share growth. MBA Preferred. Must be able to travel approximately 20%.
