Product & Solutions Marketing Manager- Printers

Responsible for all aspects of product marketing including:  Product positioning, competitive marketing analysis, KMA and competitive product pricing analysis, product launch materials, recommending marketing programs, monitoring competition, and recommending new product requirements consistent with KMA’s business objectives.

 

The Manager will work collaboratively with a team of Product Marketing Managers, each with separate “go-to-market” responsibilities for specific product and/or solutions, to ensure a smooth launch process.  At times, the Manager will lead specific project teams, as assigned.

 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

· Prepares launch plans for all new software products and enhancements to current software products. Ensures timely completion of all aspects of the launch plan by all supporting organizations. Maintains full responsibility of all major action items of the supporting organizations to ensure accuracy and strategic direction.

 

Product Launches:

· Develop complete marketing plans to support product unit sales expectations

· Coordinate and implement product launch on a timely basis, not to exceed the date of products release to channels.

· Develop product support materials consistent with an e-based delivery medium.

· Solicit feedback from sales channels, end-users, and internal sales personnel on a consistent and on-going basis and make recommendations where appropriate based upon market analysis and KMA objectives.

· Maintain all timeline requirements.

 

·  Maintain timely and updated content for Internet/Intranet sites on a consistent basis to include product, competitive, market information, success stories, white papers, etc.  Ensure that all material posted to site is accurate and delivered on time for new product release and content refresh requirements as established.

 

·  Prepare pricing proposals for new products as well as enhancements to current products based upon competitive actions and/or to support KMA unit expectations.

 

·  Assists Product Planning, and Technical with the designing of long range plans for new products in terms of specifications, features, performance targets, pricing, introduction planning, software requirements and market planning.

 

Product & Solutions Marketing Support:

 

·  Support internal and external inquiries.

 

·  Interface with, and assists as required, all KMA sales, training, technical, personnel regarding product, competitive product and channel information.

 

·  Provide input for marketing bulletins, advertising, collateral material, industry analyst publications and public relations as required.

 

·  Provide input to Channel Marketing for product promotions and sales forecasts.

 

·  Monitor/analyze monthly product performance and provide analysis to Senior Marketing Management.

 

Competitive AnalysisCollaborate with Product Planning in all aspects of Competitive Intelligence.

Ø  Analyze marketplace trends regarding products, specifications, pricing, software, and sales/channel programs.

Ø  Identify market niches for current products to maximize KMA sales success.

Ø  Identify product line gaps based upon competitive, channel or market requirements and make recommendations to the Director of Product Planning.

 Maintain competitive database relating to your product responsibility, including collateral material, pricing information, channel programs, business statistics, and advertising & public relations activities.Maintain a network of industry and channel contacts to gain marketing and industry data.Establish and maintain good relations with industry associates.Maintain complete knowledge level and proficiency with relative technologies, both competitive and being marketed by KMA.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

· Bachelors Degree or significant experience

· 3-5 years in the printer industry in a marketing capacity required

· In depth knowledge of printer products and technologies as well as related software and drivers/utilities.

· In depth knowledge of networks.

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Ability to work with extremely confidential information in a professional, discreet manner.

· Frequent business trips required.
