John Deere NavCom is seeking a Product Support Engineer to support technical questions regarding GPS receiver product and GPS network installation, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting. In addition, in this position, you will: Conduct product demonstrations for user interface and capabilities to dealers and potential customers. Provide pre-sales technical support in collaboration with the sales team to address customer concerns/questions on technical aspects of a product. Deliver dealer training - providing product installation guidance, software integration and troubleshooting techniques. Assist in overseeing and developing product manuals/technical literature; interfacing with technical writing staff to ensure content is accurate and complete. Help maintain the technical support sections of the website; providing appropriate content as needed for new and existing products (FAQs, troubleshooting guides, etc...). Work in a lab environment testing customer reported problems, analyzing the results of data submitted via customers to validate problems and provide guidance on corrective actions.Education Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Technology discipline with electronics (computers, controllers, GPS receivers, etc.) and/or radio frequency focus, or equivalent experience. Required Skills and Experience Minimum three years experience in a technical support position with electronics (computers, controllers, GPS receivers, etc.) and/or radio frequency devices. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Powerpoint and advanced skills in Excel. Ability to create reports, training documents and develop web content (not web design). Excellent written and verbal communications. Willing to travel up to 15%.Desired Skills and Experience Familiar with GPS/GNSS technology and/or geodesy. Familiarity with radio frequency technology.
