Production Supervisor - Greenville Plant #2

Position Description:

Reports to the Operations Manager.  Lead and coach production team members on safe efficient production operation from raw materials incoming inspection through vacuum deposition process to delivery of sub-cells.  Position will initially be assigned to the night shift.  

 

Duties will include:

· Responsible for safety, quality, and throughput performance of Production Team.

· Ensure that team obtains goals and objectives.

· Motivate Production Team members, assign daily duties, set expectations and support activities to reach goals.

· Scheduling, discipline, coaching and development of members of Production Team, including establishing cross-training goals for team members and facilitating their training.

· Monitor visual management and coach flexing when needed.

· Continually coach team members to become proficient decision makers

· Attend weekly Team Supervisor Meetings

· Serve the line when needed

· Maintain Safety as first priority

· Support and implement active suggestions from the Suggestion System

· Support Lean initiatives and training 100%

· Lift and transport moderately heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).

· Perform other related duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position.

 

Required Qualifications:

· Secondary education Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree preferred.

· 3+ years of relevant experience or knowledge  in a progressive manufacturing setting including:

o  Vacuum Technology

o  Quality Assurance or laboratory technique

o  Lean understanding

o  Supervision of others

· Demonstrated problem solving ability

· Communicates cross-functionally at multiple levels with candor and respect
