Project Engineer (Management)

 

Overview:

A strong growing Contract Electronics Manufacturing Services company is seeking experienced, energetic applicants for one Project Engineer’s opening.

The company is a low-volume, quick-turn, high-reliability custom PCBA house. Based on customer’s specifications/orders, the company builds products from bare boards and components, utilizing various automated equipment and established processes.  The company has a reputable business history and enjoys the benefits of many repeat customers.

The ideal candidate needs to understand basic SMT and through hole processes and operations for assembling PCBA’s. 

Applicants must have the ability to make decisions independently, read drawings and specs in detail, perform multiple, prioritized tasks simultaneously, be organized and detail-oriented.  Understand the quoting process will be a plus.

 

Common Qualifications: (Required)

• Minimum three years experience in printed circuit board assembly manufacturing

  environment.

• Experience with SMT, Through-hole, Box Build, Prototype, Medical.

• Knowledge of IPC, ISO and MIL Standards.

• Ability to prepare, read and analyze travelers, BOM's, Assembly Aids,  

  manufacturing method and process procedures, fabrication drawings and RFQ’s.

• PC literate.

• Ability to perform process time estimations for quotation purposes.

• Excellent leadership, communications skills (oral/written) at all levels within the organization and with customers, with a high level of technical competency.

• Bachelor’s degree (completed or enrolled) preferred.

 

Responsibilities:

• Interface with internal departments to assure and coordinate timely component procurement, assembly, labor quote and delivery of products.

• Interface with customers on the status of production and delivery of products.

• Resolve customers' technical problems and changes, and parts shortages.

• Acts as communication link between company and customers.

• Responsible for the successful completion of projects from conception to delivery and

  acceptance.

• Responsible for adherence to and tracking of project budget.

• Responsible for obtaining leads and following up on potential new projects.
