OVERVIEW:

The position is in place to provide Netlinx and Axcess control programming and User Interface design and programming support services. General day-to-day characteristics of this position include delivery and management of assigned AMX programming services, project related tasks (control system documentation, other AMX project resources, etc) and reporting to project Manager on situational status. The typical functions of a Programmer level II: Review of contracted control system documentation, system hardware configuration, development and unit testing of all Netlinx/Axcess programs and touch panel interfaces as required by contractual obligations, weekly input of time records by project and project reporting to lead Project Manager as required. Additionally, this position level may from time to time be tasked with leading a project and directing other AMX team members and interfacing with the application AMX Dealer project team members.

·  Demonstrates knowledge of and sensitivity to legal considerations such as specific terminology, ownership, loss of intellectual property, consultants’ rights, and other legal protections.

·  Inspire customer confidence through professional presence, self-confidence.

·  Lends specialized expertise to multiple projects.

 

REQUIREMENTS:


This position requires the following combination of demonstrated experience, skills and abilities:

·  Experience in computer programming (C/C++, Visual C, HTML and SQL). Netlinx, Axcess and Touch Panel Design experience a plus.

·  Possess a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience within a control system or Audio Visual organization.

·  Experience in Boardroom, Whole Home and Home Theater control concepts

·  Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks or project simultaneously.

·  Ability to review, decipher and understand AV/HVAC system drawings

·  Previous experience working in a similar role

·  Proven ability to manage project team resources

·  Qualified candidate must have proven oral presentation and customer interaction skills.

 

Special Consideration

May be required to work extended hours under tight deadline to successfully meet objectives. Must be willing to travel.
