We invite you to learn more about our opportunities at Sanmina-SCI.Nature of work: Responsible for the programming of all CNC equipment employed.Requirements • Maintains competency in state of the art machine programming technology. • Revises and/or updates programs to reflect engineering or program changes and maintains current revisions on file. • Plans process sequences. • Designs fixtures, specialty cutters, or grinding wheels to support programs as required. • Create CNC programs for multi-axis milling and turning centers utilizing MasterCam 9.0 + version from drawings, sketches or solid models. • Proficient in tooling knowledge for the selection of specific cutting tools and fixtures. • Proficient in GD&T. • Must coordinate programs with CNC set-up personnel and perform up to four-axis simultaneous programming. • Understands and meets quality standards. Seeks to minimize error rate. • Understanding of standard machine shop practices.Education, Training, and Skill Recommendations/Requirements: • High school diploma and/or a 2 year certificate from a college or trade school or an equivalent amount of experience and training • Must have extensive machining background and a minimum of 5 years experience with MasterCam 9.0 or equivalent software. • Must be able to read blueprints and understand geometrical tolerances. • Advanced math skills • Ability to read and analyze complex information • Ability to identify, define and make recommendations for quality control issues. Ability to interpret technical data, in mathematical or diagram form. • High attention to detail Please refer to job description.
