Job Responsibilities: Role Summary: Lead strategic sourcing for the Raw Materials market for Schneider Electric North America. Estimated spend includes $450M (current, $500M plus with North America Shared Services scope) across ferrous, non-ferrous, plastics and packaging commodities. Expectations within strategic sourcing include, but not limited to... Develop short term (1 yr) and long term (3-5) year strategies to achieve customer and business objectives for sustaining supply, total cost productity and innovation. Leverage strategic sourcing drivers such as supplier relationship management, negotiation, value engineering, rebalancing, continuous improvement, etc. to create value. Define actions and initiatives for the execution of the strategy in accordance with global, regional and local objectives. Work collaboratively with internal customers, cross-functional partners and strategic suppliers to maximize the effectiveness of our raw material spend, while also optimizing the efficiency of our supply management processes. Develop an innovative team based on world class competencies and processes. Build a pipeline of leadership talent to support succession plans within Supply Mgt at a North America and Global level. Support the development of new products, services and solutions by aligning commodity and market strategies with business teams. Support deployment of Global and North America Shared Services initiatives by understanding subsidiary business needs, align commodity strategies and identify suppliers capable of meeting or exceeding each entities needs. Work collaboratively with Supplier Quality & Development, Advanced Purchasing and Global Market teams.Qualifications / Requirements 7-10 years of purchasing / strategic sourcing experience Certified in continuous improvement methodology: Six Sigma (MBB, BB, GB), Lean Manufacturing 4 year Bachelors degree required, Masters / MBA preferred Prior experience in technical fields: material science, engineering, product design, value engineering Experience leading and developing a team with world class supply management competencies Submit Your Resume Online NowSchneider Electric Company is an equal opportunity employer.
