QA Final Test Inspector

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

·  Perform acceptance tests on completed Plasma Displays following written procedures, specifications, and verbal instructions. 

·  Tests involve evaluating picture and sound quality, operation and appearance by both observation and through physical measurement during Outgoing Inspection.

·  Outgoing inspection is a fast paced process requiring the operator to perform multiple tasks quickly and efficiently while still paying attention to detail. 

 

These Outgoing Inspection tasks include:

1.  Detailed visual inspection of exterior of display.

2.  Connecting multiple inputs and outputs to the display.

3.  Performing a preset series of inspection steps evaluating picture, sound and operation for the various inputs.

4.  Documenting test result and placing display into final setup mode.

5.  Moving display to packing area.

 

·  Tests also involve verification of specified functions utilizing both standard and specialized electronic test equipment during Performance Test.

·  Responsibilities include the documentation of test results as well as communication with appropriate personnel regarding non-conforming conditions found during testing.

·  Being able to accurately describe the circumstances of the non-conforming (reject) condition both verbally and in writing is an important aspect of this position. 

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

1) Must be a High School graduate or equivalent.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1) Prior Inspection, Quality or test experience required.

 KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED/DES

1) Ability to: speak, read and write in English.

2) Ability to produce detailed reports of inspection results.

3) Experience with basic electronic test equipment is a plus.

 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

1) Hearing and vision must be nominal.

2) Must be able to lift 20-40 pounds repeatedly, as and if needed.

3) Must be able to do the bending, stooping, and kneeling performed during testing.
