Maintain and uphold the Quality Manual, Quality Policy and appropriate procedures, work instructions and quality records as necessary in support of the quality management system and ISO 9001 certification. Lead internal and surveillance audits in support of ISO 9001 and TL-9000 certifications.Responsible for maintenance of a customer complaint management system to ensure that all reported customer nonconformance are documented, investigated and eliminated. Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving teams that drive towards root cause analysis and implementation corrective actions to changes in product, process, and procedures, as appropriate to prevent recurrence of nonconformities. Maintain and support incoming inspection and outgoing audit test schemes to detect quality discrepancies from entering operations and reaching the customer.Specific Responsibilities: Work with Quality manager in developing and maintaining an on-line web-reporting tool for data logging and managing customer quality discrepancy information. Work with all functional groups to ensure reporting tool is effectively utilized as the mechanism for capturing and properly documenting customer quality concerns. Facilitate the implementation of appropriate changes to product, process, system and procedures through the ECO process to prevent the recurrence of reported nonconformities. Communicate and work directly with Hong Kong Supplier Quality on vendor quality issues. Facilitate appropriate team-oriented problem solving tools and techniques (e.g. TOPS, 8D, KT, 6M’s, 7 Why’s, etc.) Develop training materials and train appropriate personnel on problem solving tools and techniques. Take timely containment actions to quarantine suspect product to minimize customer exposure. Work with Quality Manager and Operations personnel to develop and document an appropriate level of incoming inspection and outgoing audit and inspection test scheme. Maintain and update procedures and work instructions as necessary to ensure robust operation of the QMS. Support document control system that manages documentation creation, revision control, approval, distribution, and obsolescence. Maintain ISO 9001 and TL9000 QMS certification. Fulfill responsibilities under ISO 9001, understand and fully support ISO system. Lead the corporation in pursuit of ISO 14000 Environmental Management System certification. Travel to domestic and foreign offices, as required. Support integrated Quality and Environmental Management System.Education and Experience Requirements: Minimum 5 years of quality experience in an ISO manufacturing environment Minimum 5 years in a quality role B.S. Degree in technical field (e.g. EE, ME, Computer Science, etc.). Able to quickly grasp technical product quality issues, failure analysis reports, test reports, and technical engineering / design solutions MBA, a plus ASQ CQE and / or CRE certification ISO 9001, 2000 lead auditor certification Experience with a broad range of electronic, mechanical and electromechanical components, materials and manufacturing processes (e.g. PCBA, injection molded plastics, cables and wire harnesses) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong leadership and facilitation skills.
