You are invited to join a company that celebrates breakthrough thinking and a consistent drive to improve its technology, performance and expertise by applying today.What would you be doing?As our high end manufacturing client’s Quality Engineer, you will ensure a quality control system is in place in order to prevent defects, improve processes and provides accurate data for continuous efficiencies. Your responsibilities would include: Designing systems for recording and analyzing product quality levels and interpreting report trends and improvement plans as part of the Quality Operating System Applying Advanced Quality Planning techniques to evaluate production feasibility of new products and the stability of production processes Utilizing statistical data to identify, prevent and resolve problems Working with customers to identify opportunities to improve products and processes Participating in self audits to identify opportunities for quality system improvement Developing sampling plans, quality standards and process control instructions for manufacturing staff Training hourly and salaried employees as well as suppliers in SPC and Advanced Quality Planning Reviewing new product designs for quality of design, adherence to customer requirements and opportunities for improvement Coordinating Initial Sample Reports to ensure products and processes meet requirementsYour talent belongs here.We are looking for a Quality Engineer familiar with electronics operations (surface mounting, wave soldering, in circuit testing, etc.) and a scientific approach to problem solving. Here are a few things we’re seeking in the ideal candidate: Demonstrated experience and success in a quality engineering role for a direct high-end automotive supplier Experience developing control plans and performing Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Project Understanding of Statistical Process Control System software Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering - or a related Engineering field CQE certification is a plus Strong fluency with ISO/TS 16949 automotive quality standards would be very helpful Familiarity with and understanding of the Production Part Approval Process is preferred Any experience supplying OEM automotive manufacturers (Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, Subaru, Honda, Ford, GM or Chrysler)What’s so great about this position?Step into this role and you’re joining a company that puts tremendous value on its human capital and rewards them accordingly.
