One of the world’s largest and most diverse industrial research labs has an immediate opportunity for an RF ELECTRONICS RESEARCH ENGINEER in Albany, NY.   RESPONSIBILITIES: As an RF Electronics Research Engineer, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that plans, develops, and transitions technologies for advanced electronics applications from concept to products and/or services for internal and external clients.   As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will: • Grow and lead new research projects through close interactions with business units. • Lead experimentation related to RF technology that includes background literature searches, experimental procedure design, and results analysis. • Present research findings and business impact to management. • Write and present research plans, internally and to outside agencies as appropriate. • Present research at conferences and publish in leading journals.   QUALIFICATIONS: • YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 19 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT. • Doctorate in Electrical Engineering. • Design, optimization, prototyping, and testing of RF electronic systems. • Experience with simulation tools such as 3D Electromagnetic software, finite-element and multi-physics analysis. • Strong working knowledge of multi-chip modules, materials, interconnect, and packaging. • Experience with experimental lab skills including data acquisition, signal processing, oscillators/sources, mixer/modulators, bias circuits, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, filters, and RF power meters. • Experience with antennas, dielectric and magnetic materials, electromagnetic absorbers and shielding. • Experience with bare die testing and packaging. • Experience with RF EDA tools such as ADS or Eagleware Genesis. • Experience in RF sensing methods. • Unrestricted work authorization in the US is required for all candidates. • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY. • Must be willing to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process. • Must be 18 years or older.
