Semikron, Inc., the U.S. office of Semikron International, a world leader in IGBT/diode/thyristor power modules and an expert in power module packaging located in Hudson, NH is seeking a Regional Area Sales Manager.

 

Regional Area Sales Manager

 

 

Definition

Regional Area Sales Manager for the area of California, Oregon, Washington and Western Canada.

He/she is actively contacting and working with potential and existing customers. This includes project support, sales budget planning, market investigation and the accomplishment of Semikron’s sales and marketing targets. The products subjects to sale are SEMIKRONs standard power semiconductor modules, but also customized solutions and systems, which are based on these modules.

Internal support will be given through the inside sales team and the engineering team, based in Hudson, NH or – where necessary - through other international teams. Work can be done from a home office in that area. The Regional Manager reports to the Sales Manager, based in Hudson, NH.

 

 

Example of Duties

1.  Visit customers, discuss and follow up new projects and running designs

2.  Carry out basic application related simulations using SEMIKRON tools

3.  Negotiate prices and contract terms

4.  Investigate market and actively look for potential customers and new applications. Establish contact, build relationship and develop the account

5.  Close cooperation with the colleagues of the outside sales force

6.  Work with engineering team to develop a solution for customized assemblies

 

 

Experience

The desired candidate has an E.E. degree and a strong background in power semiconductors, i.e. at least 5 years prior experience in design/development of inverters, soft starters, power supplies or related devices. Basic knowledge about the design of driver or control circuits is desirable. Additional sales experience is an asset.

 

Education

Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering

 

Knowledge

·  Knowledge about properties and application of power semiconductors. Experience in design of motor drives, power supplies, UPS is desirable.

·  Basic knowledge of business administration and commercial topics

·  Knowledge of Office based software

 

Ability/Required Skills

An outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skill is necessary as relationship building is essential. Strong project management skills to follow up design projects on our customers end. Requires good organizational and time management skills.  Must be self motivated and have proven ability to work as a team member.
