Right now, we have an excellent opportunity available at our facility in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for a:

Research ManagerActing under minimal direction, you will oversee assigned staff and administer all aspects of research in the Myrtle Beach Advanced Technical Product Center.

Background should include: Advanced degree in engineering, materials or related discipline. Minimum of 10-15 years of progressively more responsible positions within a design/development or research environment. Special Qualifications & Requirements: Position requires liaison with senior sales, marketing and operations personnel throughout AVX Corporation. Knowledge in thin film and thick film processes. Experience with product design and software systems. Must have a track record of new product development.
Responsibilities Include: Working with senior management, establishing and executing the research business plan. Establishing and overseeing the budget for the department and all related financial matters. Conceptualizing new products, processes and market utilizations which will enable AVX Corporation to maintain a leadership position in the marketplace. Providing the sales and marketing organizations with customer support for new product development, applications engineering and problem solving. Must be able to act on behalf of the Vice President of Technology during his absence or travel on all matters with respect to laboratory operation. Relocation Assistance Provided!
