SAP BW/BI 7.0 Project - Sunnyvale, CA

We have an immediate need for a Consultant to work in our Sunnyvale, CA office on an SAP BW/BI 7.0 Project. The tentative duration is 2-3 months however there could be opportunity to bid on additional projects on a contract basis.

We have the project scope and will be asking for bids on the project. I am including the scope below for your reference. More details will be given at the time of the interview and candidates will be asked to provide the project estimate (with time and fee estimates).

The top level scope of the SAP BW/BI 7.0 Projects

 

Phase 1 – BI 7.0 installation and configuration:



  Deliverables:

 

· Perform SAP BI 7.0 configuration and set up

· Connecting SAP source system to SAP BI

· SAP source system configuration

· Customizing of extractors in SAP source system

· Define info cubes / objects in SAP BI

· Review standard content and activate the essential info objects and reports (relevant ones)

· Bring in the required Master Data from SAP R/3 to BI : Organizational data,  customer data, transactional data

· Set up the meta data and info cubes for:

1. Creation of an info cube for sales and distribution Booking Billing Backlog Revenue Analysis on document level

2. Enhancing existing Business Content Objects

3. Using Business Content objects as template

4. Modeling of complete data flow

5. Creation of a report (query) for Booking Billing Backlog Revenue Analysis

6. Drill down of analysis to the level of single sales order items, materials, customers,

  as well as sales organization, distribution channel and division

7. Bookings and revenue reports (formats are attached):   

1. JMA accounts by booking and revenues amount and quantity in summary  and detailed material levels (actual)

2. Booking/Revenue amount and quantity by product line in different timelines (actual)

3. Booking/Revenue amount by customers (in global level) in different timelines (actual)

4. Current month and YTD Booking/Revenue amount by customers and by product 

 Responsibilities:



·  Completing the configuration, set up, customization and development work, and delivering the above

·  ABAP and any other programming required to complete the project

 



Other responsibilities:

·  Help in developing test cases/scripts

·  Assist in move to Production

Technical skills required:



·  Should be aware of Business Content to define  Data Sources, Data Store Objects, Cubes

·  BW Customization (ABAP Knowledge)

·  Should have worked on Integrated Planning (desired)

·  Should have Data Knowledge SD Data sources (2 LIS Data sources)

·  Should know Data Modeling

·  Should Know Process Chains for Loading The data

·  Performance Tuning

·  Should be aware of all Data Extraction Techniques.

·  Should Know (BEX) Business Explorer and We b application Designer
