SEA_Legal Counsel

Position Summary




This position will handle a variety of transactional matters for the Consumer Electronics Division and other divisions if needed. The primary focus will be contracts and advertising/marketing review.




Common Essential Duties & Resp.




- Drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts including dealer and distributor agreements, marketing and entertainment agreements, sports related agreements and software and license agreements

- Provide guidance to senior management on issues relating to eCommerce and
FTC issues

- Review and approve advertising and marketing materials, sweepstakes, press releases, promotions and contests

- Assist General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel as needed




Necessary Skills / Attributes




• The person assuming this position must be a lawyer with 4-7 years experience and must have a contracts/commercial background
• Must have a JD from an accredited law school and have current membership in a state bar
• Must have worked in house with companies in the consumer electronic industry or communications industry or worked at a law firm on behalf of consumer electronic or telecommunication related companies
• Contract management experience is not necessary but is a plus
• eCommerce experience is a plus
