SEA_Supply Chain Manager

Position Summary




Manage Visual Display Supply Chain Analysts and related processes including forecasting, commitment and allocation. Run weekly SCM Day meetings with Sales & Marketing Management. Provide direct operations support for Sr. VP of VD Marketing.



Common Essential Duties & Resp.




Manage Visual Display Supply Chain analysts responsible for DLP, PDP, and small LCD forecasting, allocation, & commitment.

Analyze large LCD TV Forecasts at customer level from sales team. Input product marketing forecast by account to provide allocation, RTF and Demand Signal for SCM Master Planning process.

Manage the Visual Display product commitment process to customers (external):
• Analyze demand & supply information by customer and by product
• Communicate commitment to Sales Team and/or directly to the customer

Manage the Visual Display. product allocation process (internal); work with Business Operations Order Management and the factories

Identify and resolve complex supply issues/problems in conjunction with Sales, Samsung American Distribution Center Logistics, Global Operations and Business Operations department

Liaison with SEC Global Operations, American Distribution Center planners, factory management on the Samsung Electronics America Inc. Visual Display sales plan:
• Monitor delays in production
• Monitor launch timing for old/new models
• Overall product availability

Manages the Commitment and Lock Program to for new and existing customers in an attempt to lock the forecasts of the larger regional customers; leads to greater forecast stability

Along with other members of the Sales Team, engages with customers at all levels (from analyst to executive) to understand their overall supply picture

Develop and manage process improvement projects, as needed



Necessary Skills / Attributes




• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years experience in Consumer Electronics or Goods in an supply chain environment preferred, or strong experience in logistics or operations
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Strong detail orientation
• Excellent computer skills including SAP, BW, i2, and Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to interact with all levels of management both internally and with customer base
• Travel as required
