Hands-on software engineering project management and technical leadership for full-SDLC.  New Product Development & Introduction for next generationofferings, including contracted development efforts.Embedded logic, C++/Object-oriented coding, remote sensing/data processing & instrumentation venue; new, consolidated, or simplified platforms or reusable architectures.  Must have real-world experience producing hardware or systems for sale, and bringing product to market with deadlines;  experience in managing/leading software engineers as well as coordinating multiple aspects of ongoing projects.

Our U.S. headquarters engineering products and solutions powerhouse is building a lean new software engineering capability for taking complex sensor-driven controls systems engineering products from inception to production in a year of less. Building such a team has created a new opportunity for an experienced SDLC & Software Systems Engineering-savvy Software Engineering Manager / Project Management leader who offers strengths in:

·  Re-architecting proprietary technical platform for multi-family sensing/instrumentation/remote data capture products featuring embedded logic

·  Applying modern software development tools & methodologies, including Object-Oriented Programming (especially C++)

·Carrying out all of the SDLC phases; instilling structure & methodology in development processes 

·  Offering Practical experience in developing, maintaining, and improving engineering processes along the way

·  Interfacing with customers, marketing, and technical management to formulate functional requirements

·  Mapping out a timetable for project completion (and achieving goals on schedule); managing schedules & priorities

·  Outlining, organizing, and configuring the coding to be done (and making sure it is as modular and re-usable as possible)

·  Scoping out the product revision tasks ahead (and making them a reality)

·Overseeing both in-house and contracted development efforts 

·  Applying EE knowledge such as A-D, processing raw data, instrumentation & measurement

·  Managing Product Data, documenting, and providing configuration control as the project is completed

 

 

We're seeking a seasoned, successful, self-motivated and SDLC-savvy Software Engineering Manager or Sr. Project Engineer with extensive experience supervising technical personnel, working within teams, and exceeding technical design and development goals and objectives. Extensive Hands-on experience--especially in the areas of technical project management and platform architecting for Embedded Systems design, Signal Processing & conditioning and sensing/scanning applications in instrumentation and commercial process control or industrial automation industries.
