Currently, we have an opening for a  Programmer/ Database Administrator in our Parsippany, NJ facility.  The responsibilities for this position include:

 

 

·  Responsible for designing, developing, modifying databases and evaluating programs for internal functional areas.

 

·  Designs and maintains the Data Warehouse using SQL, DTS and stored procedures

·  Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company databases

·  Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes

·  Resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues

·  Designs and creates relational diagrams related to database functions

·  Create e-commerce data analysis using MS Reporting Services

·  Analyzes, review and rewrites VB programs to increase their operating efficiency or to adapt them to new requirements

·  Backup and provides support to the Web Developer

·  Insures proper documentation is maintained for new and modified programs

·  Assist in other areas, as assigned

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

·  Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in the field

·  2 to 3 years experience in Relational Databases, SQL, T/SQL Administration, Stratus server, Data Transformation Services (DTS) and Microsoft Reporting Services

·  Working knowledge of SQL,T-Stratum, SQL Server and MS Access products

·  Experience using Silvon’s Stratum Server for Data Warehousing

·  Basic knowledge of ASP, HTML, Java, Java Script, CGI and Cold Fusion

·  Strong knowledge of Pick Basic, Universe and Microsoft Professional, a plus

·  Strong analytical skills

·  Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively in English
