Sales Account Manager - Greater Los Angeles, CA, Area

Qualifications include:
• Demonstrated track record of successful high-technology sales (5 years minimum experience).
• Highly motivated and success driven.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Experience calling on senior level decision makers (e.g. Engineering VP’s, Directors).
• Fully developed tactical sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers).
• Strong knowledge of high-speed digital design, wireless communications, and data communications.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent time and territory management habits.
• Experience with personal computer, e-mail, and Microsoft Office programs.
• BSEE or equivalent; M.B.A. strongly desired.
In this role, you will be expected to:
• Exceed target for your territory under designated budget each fiscal year.
• Develop a Territory Sales Plan that focuses on prospecting for new business, growing key accounts and expanding the overall business.
• Plan and execute sales stimulus activities including seminars, product shows, and mailings.
• Profile and penetrate key accounts by developing account profiles.
• Understand customer organizations by department, function, strategies, and key programs.
• Master the features and benefits of our primary products, including Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators.
• Identify and sell into new and existing applications for Tektronix products.
• Effectively utilize sales resources including applications engineers, channel partners, inside sales support, and customer service reps.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to qualify for Department of Defense issued security clearance.
