Essential Responsibilities
Work with Regional Sales Manager to establish proper selling practices to new and existing customers. Prospect for and qualify new leads and customers through outbound and inbound calling. Assess customer needs, process orders, provide price quotes, check stock availability, etc. Analyze buying activity of existing accounts and up sell to current commercial customers. Set qualified appointments for Blitz days per plan. Accompany RSMs on sales calls. Engage customers and complete Customer Contact Information (CCI) sales lead for each per sales plan. Conduct commercial sales and service inside the store. Make deliveries and provide follow up on purchases. Train and assist all store associates to properly prospect potential commercial customers and complete CCI’s per sales program. Manage the commercial data files including all KAPs, CCI’s, promotional leads. Help to coordinate and participate in commercial events e.g. commercial breakfasts.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 yr. experience with inside or outside industrial supply sales and/or previous Batteries Plus store experience. Exceptional phone presence and enthusiasm; zero-call reluctance, aggressive and well organized. Strong communication skills – both oral and written. Able to communicate concrete and abstract ideas effectively using both oral and written means. Ability to lead and motivate store team members to support commercial sales program activities. Ability to work autonomously, and in a team environment. Ability to take ownership of a project and lead a team to desired results. Strongly motivated with sense of urgency. Capable of managing multiple tasks; demonstrated ability to successfully meet project timelines and goals in a fast paced, changing environment. Excellent time management, coordination and follow-up skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong computer skills. Must be proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to calculate simple math, percents, ratios and algebraic expressions and read gauges.
Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and personal vehicle.
