Security Architect

ATMEL is currently looking for Security Architect for it's Colorado Springs, CO site.



Responsibilities/Requirements:

Must be able to work with customers, technology and engineering partners and in-house technical staff to architect new cryptographic products and then work with internal engineering teams as appropriate during the development, validation and production phases.

Must have significant knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and protocols including at least 5 years industry experience in the security field.  Knowledge of hardware cryptographic accelerators (either stand-along or integrated in silicon) and/or security application software a plus.

Must have strong background and experience in software architecture, high level language programming (including C and C++), embedded system firmware.  Experience with Linux and/or other embedded operating systems an advantage.

Must have strong communication skills:  be able to listen to customer requirements and clearly articulate solution architectures, be able to write and/or present white papers, applications notes, trade publication articles, datasheets, etc.  Will be expected to attend industry events and make technical contributions.

Knowledge of integrated circuit hardware and design fundamentals a significant benefit.  Experience with PC architecture and/or PC software development also a plus.

Seeking an engineer with a BSEE or BSCE degrees.  Master's degree preferred.
