Melville, NY At present, we have an excellent opportunity for a Senior BI Programmer/Analyst in our Melville, NY location. The primary role of the Senior BI Programmer/Analyst position is to initially provide technical expertise in the implementation of the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition application. Implementation would entail · Understanding requirements · RPD creation · Physical and Business Model creation · Building the presentation layer · Setting up users · Defining/integrating security · Dashboard design · Operational / Transactional report design · Analytical report design The candidate can expect to play a leading role in recommending processes and workflows that will be developed into best practices going forward. The individual should also be expected to have an interest in understanding how the business processes work and be able to partner with the business to provide solutions. Following implementation the Senior BI Programmer/Analyst is expected to play an active role in the ongoing development and maintenance of the BI solution and provide knowledge transfer and guidance to the rest of the IT BI Team Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: (list in order of importance, with most important being first) - Participate in implementation of the OBIEE application by providing technical expertise - Provide input in determining best practices to ensure successful implementation and ensure long term success - Able to administer all facets of the OBIEE implementation - metadata, presentation layer, users and security, dashboard and report design, performance tuning - Understand user requirements and recommend procedures and policies to support these requirements - Build test and implement reporting solutions BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - College degree - 5 - 8 Years of BI/Data Warehouse experience with 3-4 in OBIEE (Siebel Analytics) - Siebel Data Warehouse Developer Certification a plus - Oracle EBS certification (Supply Chain) a plus - Excellent communication / presentation skills - Teradata experience a plus PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Previous OBIEE implementation experience would be highly valued - In Depth working knowledge of OBIEE (Siebel Analytics) is required, and familiarity with BI Publisher would be helpful. - Experience with OBIEE as a lead technician / Administrator is a plus. - Experience with requirements gathering is required - Experience in interacting with multiple internal departments and offshore resources - Working knowledge of Oracle EBS - Supply Chain is a plus - Experience in the Distribution industry is a plus We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, which includes tuition reimbursement, employee stock ownership plan, health and dental plans, 401(k), and a unique sabbatical program.
