Senior Buyer/Commodity Specialist

Microwave Radio Communications (MRC), A Division of Vislink, Inc., is the leading manufacturer of video centric microwave systems for television broadcast operations worldwide and a key supplier of U.S. Military and public safety operations.

We have an opening for a Sr. Buyer/Commodity Specialist

High level procurement position responsible for obtaining critical materials and components.  Checks requisitions, obtains quotations, examines bids and makes awards.  Evaluates vendor reliability.  Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, service and engineering departments, maintaining inventory at planned levels.  Will work closely with R&D and New Product Development in supporting realization of cost objectives specific to procurement of key, price sensitive commodities.  Will support cost control efforts underway within MRC.  May be required to manage some suppliers in support of Operational and revenue objectives.

Experience/Education Required:  BS degree with a minimum of 10 years experience in procurement field.  Experience in component sourcing, selection and negotiation.  CPM/CPIM certification desirable.  Previous supervisor experience also desirable.
