Senior Director, Human Resources

This large, well-established, public semiconductor company is ready to hire a proven leader from the Semiconductor industry for their Senior Director of Human Resources for the Americas.  Reporting to the Corporate VP of HR,  this person will be responsible for defining, developing, managing and implementing tactical and strategic human resources initiatives that align with the organization’s plans for the Americas. This person will be responsible for ensuring the organization’s ability to attract and retain world-class talent in a rapid growth mode, create a quality work environment and lead development initiatives in this highly distributed global organization.

 

Working with the senior management team, the SDHR will evaluate the various HR processes and systems, benchmark these against appropriate competition, and implement scalable best practices globally including:

 

§Assess company culture in the Americas and develop strategies, policies and programs to facilitate enhancing or transforming the culture to meet business goals and objectives.

§ Act as the HR Business Partner to key company executives

§Assess organization capability and develop a roadmap that delivers HR services and enables business leaders to meet their growth and revenue targets.

§ Work with Corporate Staffing to drive the talent acquisition strategy and assimilation processes and programs globally.

§Work with Corporate Compensation to evaluate and implement a global total rewards strategy assuring competitive compensation and benefits that will allow the organization to attract and retain the talent needed, support the organization’s business plans and contribute to the organization’s continued success.

§ Act as the Affirmative Action Officer for the US

§Coach and develop talent and assure appropriate development programs for high potentials, management and executive leadership.

§Develop HR policies and procedures for the Americas that will continue to integrate the company sites in the US. 

§ Lead the strategy, structure, performance and development of the HR team in the Americas.

§ Monitor retention and employee development strategies.

§ Benchmark, implement and monitor HR metrics.

§ Prepare HR budget for the Americas and meet financial goals.

 

 

SELECTION CRITERIA:Demonstrated success at the Director level with a substantial, publicly-traded, semiconductor company.Proven success partnering with a senior executive team, having established credible business partner relationships.Demonstrated ability to understand complex business issues in distributed organizations with significant international operations.Recognition as a leader and influencer, able to obtain extraordinary commitment and results.Able to function with integrity in highly complex business situations; maintaining a standard of excellence for the organization.Proven understanding of organizational practices, having made recognizable contributions to the successful achievement of business objectives.Demonstrated ability to manage and lead organizational change in technology environments.  The ability to be hands on to execute plans and programs.Be a subject expert in employee relations and organizational development Strong communication skills, positive attitude and a passion for success.

 

EDUCATION:

A Bachelor’s in Business or Human Resources; M.B.A. preferred. 

 

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 10 year’s progressive human resources experience including experience as a senior HR manager in a significant technology corporation.  As an active member of the company and HR leadership team, would have demonstrated the ability to think and consult strategically, influencing business decisions, and playing an integral part in the success of the business.  Competency in traditional human resource functions such as staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations and training and development.  Able to demonstrate success in leading and managing a human resources function and, specifically, able to articulate how you have made a positive impact to the success of the business.
